A few posts back, I mentioned this tree that fell in our back yard. Well, 2 weeks ago, we had some help to get rid of it. If you aren't on my email list, you may not have heard the story of the accident. As my dad was cutting up the wood, his chain saw bucked and cut into the side of his foot. After rushing him to the ER and a week in the hospital with 2 surgeries, we are so thankful he will heal and have 100% mobility in his foot.
Until then, he is off his foot for at least 6 weeks. He has been a little restless just sitting there, but he has lots of books to read and movies to watch. And of course, he gets cheered up by a little visitor named Emily. This past week he went back to the doctor and had this boot put on. It doesn't change that he still has to keep it elevated for now.
