A Drew Update

Drew has been adding so many words to his vocabulary lately. Every day he repeats a few random words from what we are saying, like shower, hotdog, class, alright, okay, brush, and Bryan heard him say Emily. We can't always get him to repeat them again, but it is really fun to watch him learn. He can count to 3 and he says baby when he points to Emily or anything of hers. He doesn't usually pay to much attention to her, but he does give her kisses at night. What a sweet big brother!

We have started turning our guest room in to a big boy room for Drew. Most of his toys are in his room already and he loves to play with his train. Pretty soon we will start the process of sleeping in a big bed! Almost everyday we make a trip down to the playground. He loves running up the ramps and sliding all by himself. Isn't static hair so fun?!

Last week we went strawberry picking. I am either insane or adventurous. I went with 2 of my friends and between the three of us, we had 3 infants and 2 toddlers. Drew was actually helpful most of the time, putting berries in the basket, when he wasn't eating them, that is. His shirt and face were pretty much red when we got done. We then went to Rebecca's and made jam with our berries.

This picture is from the Tree House at the Meijer Gardens. Drew loves the steps (of course) and the bridges. He and Joe-Joe ran all around and then took a tea break. On Drew's way down the steps, he didn't even use the hand rail every time. What a big boy--and a nervous mommy!!
